Peasant Makes QLD Must-Eat Dishes

We made it! The Courier Mail recent article highlighting Queensland's must-eat dishes, listed Peasant Spanish Restaurant, The Barracks in the top 10!

The article reads;

YIELDING beef cheeks rendered so tender they melt on the tongue… ethereally light doughnuts oozing with a sticky date pudding centre… or roast pork with crackling so crisp you could hear it snap from the other side of the room.

These are just some of the 19 must-eat dishes for 2019. They show the depth and breadth of our food scene across Queensland.

Whether it be Italian porchetta, Thai curry or Chinese flat bread, our chefs are turning out dishes that will make even the hardest-to-please foodie salivate.

What they are is truly outstanding.

9. RANGERS VALLEY BEEF CHEEKS

Peasant

3/61 Petrie Terrace, Brisbane

This is not a dish for first dates, as you’ll want to stick your head in the bowl and lick it clean. The beef cheeks are rendered until melting tenderness, collapsing at the touch of a fork. And if your cholesterol levels aren’t spiking enough, the cheeks rest on a decadent, butter-rich celeriac and cauliflower puree doused with an intense pedro ximinez reduction and scattering of wafer-thin, sweet potato crisps.

After such a raving review it is time to try it for yourself! Click here to book in and taste Peasant's famous Rangers Valley Beef Cheeks!
