An interview with My Little Flower Shoppe

An interview with Tammy and Britt from My Little Flower Shoppe

Style Magazine recently sat down with Tammy and Britt from My Little Flower Shoppe to discuss what inspired them to pursue a career in floral design, and their top 3 wedding flower recommendations. This interview was published in the March edition of Style Magazine.

How did My Little Flower Shoppe come about?

With a passion for flowers. My father has always had an affection for flowers which he passed down to me. Brittany and I have always been close and we share the same passion for the industry, so we decided to start the business together.

What is unique about your business?

We believed that Brisbane needed a more personal and intimate florist. The 'Shoppe' mixes the European feel with fresh and modern ideas that show the art of floristry. We want our clients to always feel refreshed and inspired when they visit us.

What is your favourite part about being a florist?

For me, it's knowing that people are giving something I created to their loved one or displaying it in their home to brighten their life. It sounds silly, but it's like you get to enter a person's life (even just for a little while) and make it a tiny bit better.

What is your favourite flower and/or style?

Wild romantic! I love to incorporate several different foliage groups with dark tones and florals to create an illusion of depth and a different feel.

As for their top 3 wedding flower recommendations, Tammy and Britt suggest Dahlias, Proteas and Smoky Bush.
